Final Poster
Here is the new poster design. It has been hard work reaching this point and having our final Film poster, however a lot of progress had been made! A different layout was chosen and a new image was taken! We decided the main focus of the poster would be the protagonist but also include images of the other characters using snip its from the film, I think the poster has a fantastic layout including the title and extra text details!
Final Magazine
This is our final magazine, I am very pleased with the result as I feel a lot of time and effort has been put in place to create this. It links with my other anciallry task which was a film poster and also links with my trailer. All of the three productions present the genre and theme succesfully together!

Poster Draft 1
Here is the first extremely basic draft of our film poster. In a previous blog post I explained where the image came from which was from filming. The text is planned out and what will be included such as the the actors name and ratings/reviews. At the moment the background seems to cluttered to be a film poster therefore Photoshop will be used to manipulate this and maybe change the background as a whole. This can be done by extracting the background from the characters and then importing a suitable new background from a camera or the internet. Also the font and the colour of the font will be very different as this was a basic draft I used white to show clearly and distract it from the background whereas on the final poster the background will be different therefore we can experiment with colours of font that will suit the theme and genre and look more appealing to the audience.

Magazine Digital Draft
Here is our first draft for our magazine. I have used previous images from social media of our cast as the final photo for the final magazine is yet to be taken as we are still going through the planning process. However it is very similar to our pencil draft that featured four girls positioned with two on top and two at the bottom of the magazine. The theme is very clear in this draft as the Christmas connotations are clear. These (props) were imported from google and layered onto the original images of the characters. When the real magazine is photographed real props will be used instead of images. Also the facial expressions will be different which will distinguish between the characters personalities . The writing on top of the images will be simplistic and there wont be very much writing as the magazine we intend to create, 'entertainment weekly' has little writing around the main image and nearly all relate to the film being presented in the image. I also want the text beside to reveal that the magazine is a Christmas edition and therefore presents the theme clearly and as it is a all girl cast which is apparent from the main image it tell the audience it is chick flick genre. The next step for the magazine is to get feedback from this and then once noted and understood this feedback chnage and alter any criticism and begin the final process of the magazine.

Poster Image
During filming as characters were dressed appropriately for the film me and my co-producer saw this as a great opportunity to take the still image for the Poster which would promote our film. Here is the result. We wanted to give hints about the plot subtly. The four main characters and the Christmas theme is clear. Also the facial expressions are showing how the 3 girls become irritated by the over the top character in the middle kissing Santa. The setting is also the same as the film so it completely relates to the film and audiences will recognise this!

Diary Post #5: Editing
Editing has begun and so far it has gone great. Firstly I extracted all footage from the camera and uploaded it onto iMovie. Then footage from extra filming was cut or deleted as it wasn't needed anymore this was because of sound issues and camera shaking. We then started to cut and crop the footage to all fit together we also detached audio and re put it in to other points of the film that it matched, this was very technical. This is only day one so alot more footage and technical changes are needed.

Diary Post #4
Today was all about filming! Here you can see me and my co-producer/ director Emma adjusting the camera to get that perfect shot. Due to some camera issues previously alot was shot on this day however nothing was rushed and accurate footage was produced. It was great fun working with my friends and more ideas were flowing throughout filming about how we could make it even better!

Diary Post #3
Unfourtunatley our filming schedule didn't go to plan due to a few technical camera issues so a later date was set. Planning has been going great and ideas have been flowing. A new location has been added and we will be filming at our friends house who will also feature in our trailer. The house is great location as it has a very festive feel and props have been set up to make it look even more festive.

Institution Research
For a successful film you must ensure thought and research goes into choosing a distributors and producers therefore at this stage I have started my research, my film is independent, British and Christmas themed so I have researched those specific things.
Love actually was my first idea as it has many British actors and is Christmas themed! The distributors of this film were Universal a very large world renown company immediately you know the film will be successful as nearly all Universal films gain success. This is also produced and distributed by Studio Canal and independent British company.

Another British setting film would be Bridget Jones' Diary the productions companies were: Miramax, Universal Pictures, StudioCanal very similar to Love actually, even though Studio Canal is independent it's success is very wide across the World.

Therefore my trailer I think that the best Production company would be Studio Canal as it is independent and British (with american branches) and my distributor will be Universal as it produced many successful film by its distribution and is for all audiences instead of a specific genre especially family films which I want to create.

Storyboard Update
So me and my co-worker Emma have been really thinking into our narrative for our trailer alothough this is not yet finished out ideas are all there and we are in the process of creating out storyboard to ensure filming is successful and follows the correct narrative without going off task. Above shows the beginning of the storyboard with description of what is exactly going, the edit, shot type and duration. Alot more is to go but the pace is good and still yet to add colour at then end. A very fun task!
(This draft was changed later on in the process)
